Filmoplast® R Heat Set Tissue
Filmoplast® R is a high alpha-cellulose content tissue coated with an acid and solvent-free heat activated adhesive. Used primarily to line brittle documents to prevent further disintegration filmoplast R is an ideal treatment for newspaper clippings and other paper memorabilia. Filmoplast® R is buffered with magnesium carbonate to a pH of 9.6 and will neutralize acids found in the original document as they migrate into the adhesive. The adhesive activates at a temperature of 110ºC and can be applied with an tacking iron or heat press.
