Reinforcing Paperback Covers with Book Tape

Required Materials
®
• Scotch C–27 Taping System Applicator
• Transparent Book Tape (various widths)

1 Depress the platform and slide the
book under the cutter lip with the
spine facing right. (The outrigers can
be extended to support large books.)
Line up the lower corner of the book‘s
spine on the spine guide. Pull the tape
out to the end of the book cover and
line up the edge of the tape parallel
with the spine.

2 Press the tape down on the book and
slide the cutter to trim the tape.
Press down and slide back to release
the book.

3 Press the tape down along the spine
of the book.

4 Slide the book across the applicator to
adhere the tape to the opposite cover
of the book.
