Weight Bags
Flexible and loosely packed with micro-grain galvanized steel pellets, weight bags provide a great way to apply weight to both flat and peculiar shaped items. Developed to go inside tall thin-necked vessels to help stabilize them while on exhibit, these versatile bags will be suitable for many conservation and restoration applications. The steel pellets are sealed into 2-mil. polyethylene tubing which is then covered with inert, 100% polyester white stockinette, which is less likely to attract and hold dirt than the old cotton-sock covering. Heat-sealed for a strong, clean, smooth and attractive edge that will not fray and unravel like the old, stitched-edge version.
